MICHAEL S. WILDERMUTH joined the Nevers, Palazzo, Maddux and
Packard
Litigation/Arbitration/Mediation Group in 1998.
Mike's practice focuses on representing large and small
corporations, limited liability companies and
individuals in complex business and real estate related
litigation matters. Mike's clients have included various
local, regional and national businesses and real estate
ventures.
Mike has represented public and private entities in
state and federal business litigation and commercial
real estate disputes, including breach of contract,
fraud, trade secret violations and unfair competition,
partnership and corporate dissolution, shareholder
derivative claims, real estate disputes, insurance
coverage declaratory relief/”bad faith” actions,
employment related disputes, land acquisition matters,
easement and boundary disputes, collections matters, and
construction contract disputes.
Mike also represents insurance companies and policy
holders in evaluating the obligations of the insurers
under numerous different lines of insurance policies,
for many types of claims. Additionally, Mike assists
business entities and individual clients in disputes
with insurance companies over coverage for liability and
property claims under various types of insurance
policies. He works with clients, their brokers and other
trusted advisors in connection with the acquisition or
renewal of various types of insurance policies and lines
of coverage.
Mike received his J.D. from the University of San Diego
School of Law and his bachelor’s degree from UCLA. Prior
to joining Nevers, Palazzo, Maddux and Packard, he
practiced law with Morris, Polich and Purdy, LLP,
supervising litigation of significant liability cases.
He also served as environmental and entertainment
insurance coverage case manager for CNA’s Los Angeles
coverage counsel unit.
