GARY W. NEVERS is chairman of the Nevers, Palazzo, Maddux & Packard Litigation/Arbitration/Mediation Law Group and a member of the firm's executive committee. His practice emphasizes business litigation on behalf of corporations, partnerships and individuals, while working closely within the firm’s corporate and real estate departments.

Gary has tried civil actions to judges and juries throughout California. His primary focus is providing litigation counsel and services to business owners and corporations. He has represented shareholders, partners, members and entities in a broad range of corporate and partnership litigation including dissolution actions. Many of his matters have included claims for breach of fiduciary duty, fraud and unfair competition. Gary has obtained numerous prejudgment remedies including writs of attachment, temporary restraining orders and preliminary injunctions. Gary has substantial experience in real estate litigation including specific performance and breach of contract actions, quiet title actions, priority of liens, disputes among members, partners or shareholders, mechanics lien issues, claims for brokerage fees, title insurance claims, prescriptive easements and commercial lease disputes.

Gary graduated magna cum laude from the University of Utah in 1975 and received his J.D. from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law in 1978. Since then, he has been engaged in civil trial and appeal practice for businesses and individuals in 15 counties in California, in each of the four United States District Courts in California, as well as in both California and United States Courts of Appeal.
