CHARLES E. MCKEE joined Nevers, Palazzo, Maddux & Packard's corporate and business transactions department in 1994. Charles focuses his practice on the purchase and sale of companies, venture capital financing and the formation, operation, and financing of closely held entities and emerging growth companies. Charles also has broad-based experience in corporate transactions, private placement of securities, intellectual property, technology licensing, and general corporate, limited liability company, and business matters.

Charles has represented many companies, both large and small, public and private, in their day-to-day operations. Charles' work has included a wide variety contracts, intellectual property, licensing, trademark registration, employment, real property and equipment leases, trade secrets and confidentiality issues.

Charles received his B.S. in Political Science from Oregon State University in 1976. He graduated summa cum laude and is a member of Phi Kappa Phi. He attended the University of Southern California Law School receiving his J.D. in 1983. Charles has served on the Partnerships and Limited Liability Companies Committee of the Business Law Section of the California State Bar from 2003 to the present, and is currently the Vice Chair of the Committee. He is the author of Chapter 11 "Limited Liability Companies" in the book Selecting and Forming Business Entities (CEB 2007).
